Why

Why is wellbeing so important? Amongst the rigour of academic testing and the pressures of modern life, it seems even more relevant to secure a background for students and staff that supports mental and physical wellbeing as well as academic learning.  Understanding Well measures current standards of wellbeing in schools and helps teachers put in place practical improvements that can be easily added to the classroom.

How

With rising levels of mental health issues in young people, as teachers and custodians, it is our responsibility to sharpen our focus on wellbeing. By gathering data from students and staff, Understanding Well helps schools to be proactive about mental health. The measure used ensures factors that affect wellbeing are identified, acknowledged and addressed.
